As both a committed language learner and experienced tutor, I was compelled to create a platform that empowers motivated students across the United States to make an impact on the global stage. Hello! My name is Asha McFarlane, and I am the communication officer here at Pathway to Purpose! I am a competitive fencer and learning enthusiast. I am currently studying Mandarin and Spanish daily and I am excited to expand my cultural knowledge through this program!

Hello! My name is Sherry Wang, and I serve as China Program Director at Pathway to Purpose. I’m fluent in Mandarin and I am currently studying a fourth language so I understand the challenges and frustrations that come with learning a new language. I am passionate about this program because I believe conversation-based learning is not only more effective but also far more meaningful than traditional methods.

As a polyglot with firsthand experience, I understand the many challenges that language learners often face. In leading this program, my goal is to help ease those struggles and make the language-learning journey more accessible, engaging, and meaningful for our students.
